Questions:
- What is a support ticket and how do I open one?
- When I log in to the myHostNed system, I get a pop-up browser warning saying something about a 'security alert'.  What does this mean?  Is this bad?
Answers:
What is a support ticket and how do I open one?

A support ticket where you submit a request for technical support.  It is our primary method of support.  You can use it for sales and general questions as well.

To open a support ticket, go to myHostNed and log in there.  Then click on the SUPPORT tab at the top and choose OPEN TICKET.

- When I log in to the myHostNed system, I get a pop-up browser warning saying something about a 'security alert'.  What does this mean?  Is this bad?  How do I get rid of this message?

Don't worry, it is not a bad thing.  It is actually good.  This means you are entering a secure SSL data encrypted area of the internet.  This section of the site is secured to protect  your information from being accessed by anyone other than you while the data streams across the internet.  If you have a PayPal or other Online Banking account, the same technology is used there.  The reason you are getting the message is because your web browser does not recognize the issuer of the security certificate.  HostNed makes their own security certificate thus making the data transfer even more secure (since a third party like Verisign is not included).  Your web browser already has a database of 'recognized' certificate issuers but our certificate is not included in that list by default.  You can add our security certificate to your browsers list if you wish.  See your web browser documentation for details.

How do I get rid of this message?

- If you use Internet Explorer - Allow the message to pop-up, then click "View Certificate" then CLick "Install Certificate", then Click Next then Next again, then Finished.  Then click Yes.
- If you use Mozilla - (coming soon)
